Doll_001 will the be the first of many new doll projects going forward. This one in particular was originally part of a larger project that began to stagnate and fester for me. Making lemonade out of that I decided to simplify the piece and just focus on the doll trapped in a almost-birdcage. Given the discussion around gender these days I think it's important that I somewhat address that this a female form is entrapped and damaged badly. To be clear... I am the doll, I am the cage, and I am the suffering here.
