Doll 003 is a continuation of the doll theme in which I've been working of late. I see this piece as an attempt to build something beautiful and optimistic out of garbage and refuse in general. The figure here is giving and offering of dead flowers, because that's the closest thing to beauty it has to offer. It/she is tethered to the refuse, given the anatomy needed to continue working but not the limbs that would allow it to leave its domain.
