M.A.R.D

This project is pretty absurd and with very little substantial artistic merit to the idea. I'm a fan of horror films and thought it'd be fun to make something gory. I had the idea of head being cut in half with a buzz saw and built the frame work around it. As I was working on it I made a story about it being a sort of automated drone that flies over a battlefield and collects all usable material, including human remains. The only semblance of merit to it is as a commentary on the disposable nature of war.... that it's so acceptable to murder humans that we might as well make the processing of their remains economical and speedy.

Fun fact! The gas mask was my favourite one from high school. Prior to my discovery of alcohol as a means to address insomnia and anxiety I would wear this mask in the bathtub with the hot water on full. The steam, reduced hearing, slowed breathing would help negate the attacks. Unfortunately the mask started to fall apart, so I decided to "send it off with style".
