This project's inception was based on a miscommunication twixt coworkers wherein one thought the other had said "plant tool". This immediately put the question in my mind, "what kind of a plant would a tool use?" The next moment an idea came to me... If a plant would use a tool it would mean that it identified a need, it takes sentience to identify needs. Now this little plant man is not only aware of his own biology but suddenly his own mortality. So he scours the books and scrapyards of man and builds this rig, a sort of "stasis chamber". He attached leaves to a rusted can to collect the rainwater and gather it into an old anchovy tin for his roots to soak, an old projector lens to gather and amplify the sunlight, a small workshop that he might further invent the appliances of his life, and a reliable stump upon which he may rest his weary bark.
