Doll 008 is another glimpse into the dynamic twixt Mitternacht and Doll. In this scene I see Doll furiously dragging Mitternacht out of the depths, forcing it to engage in life as opposed to letting itself drown. 2023 has been off to a difficult start for me. Difficult but in a way that's legitimately good for my health and development. I know this logically, but emotionally it's been heavy. Right now I could use a little more belief in Doll and she is pulling my ugly, metal body forward through life.

The submerged rails were inspired by a scene in "Spirited Away", a classic anime film I've only recently watched.
